AS 2 - Task Three - Analyse the track

The artist that we have decided to go with to make our music video is Austin Mahone. He mainly sings songs that is based on teen pop and dance pop genre which could appeal more to the younger generation and those for those who are teenagers or for those who are slightly younger. Austin Mahone came to fame in 2011 which shows that he was only 15 when he became famous. Austin Mahone was born on the 4^th April 1996 in San Antonio which is located in Texas.He grew up with only his mother because his father died when he was 1 years old.

Austin Mahone is seen to the older generation as just another singer on the other hand to the younger generation they would look up to him and the girls would find him as a very attractive person, this is shown in one of the music video of where he does a live performance at multiple destinations singing with some fans sat on the stage and all they wanted to do was to try to kiss, hug and get picture of him. Additionally, in some concert where he performed he had some female fans throwing their under wear on the stage while he was singing.

I would be analysing the music video we are going to react. The music video is called ‘Say Something’ By Austin Mahone. The song came out on ‘September 11 2012’. This song was rated 4/5 by his fans because most of his fans are mostly females and the other 1/5 are male which probably do not feel like the song doesn’t interest them in any way or form due to the fact that the song is based on him sing to a female.

The lyrics is more for the girls rather than the male gender because we how in the music track he had girls around in college which shows that he was a ladies man. Also, we see that he was well known in his college because he was known to be one of the ‘cool’ kids because he was ‘wearing the American football jacket’ which showed the cool kids at the school. However, we see that Austine Mahone became more interested with one girl, which he felt an attraction for her, so he decides to ask her out on a date when he bumped into her.
